US (CA): Pistachios continue to gain in popularity

Local growers are hopping aboard the pistachio bandwagon. Pistachios, the county’s No. 6 commodity according to the annual Crop and Livestock Report, had a gross production value of $118 million in 2009, up from $78.6 million the previous year.
